Is Sandook free to use?
Sandook offers a free plan with a generous document allowance for individuals and small families. Premium plans unlock unlimited storage, more family members, and advanced sharing features.
Who can see my documents?
Only you — and the family members you explicitly invite. Documents in your Personal Vault are visible to nobody else. Family Vault documents are visible only to members you grant access. We cannot access your documents at all.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your documents are encrypted and stored securely in the cloud, linked to your account. Simply sign in on a new device and everything is restored immediately.
How is Sandook different from Google Drive or iCloud?
General-purpose cloud storage lacks organisation for documents, expiry reminders, family permission controls, and the privacy guarantees Sandook provides. Sandook is purpose-built for important family paperwork.
What types of documents can I store?
PDFs, images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), and common office formats. Passports, insurance, medical records, property documents, wills, tax returns, and more — anything your family considers important.
Can I export my data at any time?
Yes. You can export a full, decrypted ZIP archive of all your documents at any time from your account settings. There is no lock-in.
Is Sandook available on both iOS and Android?
Yes. Sandook is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. A web app for desktop access is on our roadmap.
What encryption does Sandook use?
Sandook uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Documents are encrypted on-device before upload, so only you and your authorised family members can decrypt them.
